"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection"
OUR MISSION: The Italian Winery was born to give you an answer: "Are you looking for the best wines in the world? You'll find them in Italy”.
The Italian Winery has a mission: to search only the Italian wines that have reached the heights of excellence, to offer them to our customers.
The Italian Winery can indeed count in its catalog the excellence of Piedmont and Monferrato in particular, thanks to the exclusive distribution of the wines produced in Vignale Monferrato.
Land of wine and culture, Vignale hosts for almost forty years one of the most important festivals dedicated to Ballet. But above Vignale and its land it is home to intense wines, lovely, sincere. And it is in these lands, in the Monferrato, we found white classics as Chardonnay and Sauvignon, deep reds and structured as Barbera d'Asti, La Venere Barbera d'Asti Barricated and Bonarda, red happy as Grignolino and winning bets such as Bacchus’ Tear Pinot Nero Rosé.
Today we can offer the best to all wine lovers worldwide.
"Nulla placere diu nec vivere carmina possunt quae scribuntur aquae potoribus"
"A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine"
Three generations, one goal: to produce excellence.
From the Belvedere of Vignale Monferrato you can admire the vineyards, see colors and imagine the quality. Azienda Agricola Silva Luca is the farm you can taste the flavors of Monferrato's excellence. Since 1976, the Silva family cultivates its vineyards resting on 30 hectares between Vignale Monferrato, Altavilla and Casorzo.
Pioneer was Enrico Silva, the head of the family. Chasing a dream, he left the rice fields of the Po Valley to climb the hills of Monferrato.
He was a man came from the plan, but he was trying to produce the best wine in the Monferrato. With humility, dedication and
self-sacrifice he has learned. He started with the first hectare of land, purchased in 1976, along with the house and the winery. Now they are still the home and the farm.
All the knowledge and experiences have been transmitted to his son Roberto Silva.
Now wine is a family tradition. Roberto has guided the company through the end of the last century, reaching the current production: 2,000 (two thousand) quintals of red and white grapes. The philosophy that has always inspired the Silva family is based on a reduced production, but very high quality.
In the vineyard they proceed with a short pruning, with poor fertilization, with cluster thinning.
In the cellar they make vinification using traditional methods, but also with modern refrigeration system for white wines and with a chain of sterile bottling.
Today Roberto Silva was joined in business by his sons, Luca and Laura.
The third generation has brought the farm to be in the top four producing Chardonnay in the Casale and introduced the Sauvignon and Pinot Noir Rosé.
With the red wines, Silva's family won the Douja d'Or at the 34th National Competition DOC and DOCG. The prize was awarded on Sept. 9, 2006 at Asti to Barbera del Monferrato 2005 Vigna La Colombaia.
In the same year, the prize Douja d'Or also went to Piemonte Bonarda 2005 always produced by the Silva's family, while the Torchio d'oro prize in 2006 was awarded to Barbera del Monferrato Vivace.
The Barbera del Monferrato Vigna La Colombaia also win, in 2000, the so called Diploma di merito at the 22nd wines competition in Acqui Terme.
Today, thanks to the exclusive partnership with The Italian Winery, excellence Monferrato has conquered the world, exporting to the United States and Costa Rica, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, up to a tough and competitive market like China.
